Hello,

I am having a little trouble getting voicemail collect to work on a few extension. Current we want 4 station to use voicemail collect to check the receptionist voicemail. I programed a button with the following:
Voicemailcollect
"?Receptionist"

I left a test message in the operator vm box. When I tried to retreive it from one of the station it said no new messages while I can retreive it from the receptionist phone. Also when I tried from another station it ask for an access code. This is very strange anyone has any idea?

Much thanks

is "Receptionist" a user or a group?

if it is a group, only members of the group can retrive VM without a passcode

if it is a user then V<extn> needs adding to the receptionist source numbers filed for every ext that needs to access the mailbox

IPGuru,

I changed it to ?320 now it wants a access code. Is there anyway not to have a access code?

If it is a group mailbox & the usere is not a member of the group an access code is required.
otherwise set the source number in the receptionist extn to allow access from the other extn: V<Extn No.>

The short code should read "?Receptionist. it may work using the extn number but this is not garanteed & Avaya could "Fix" this at any time
