I've been looking to make a script for saving the configs on my 8600s (save to flash, pcmcia, standby, tftp, etc.) all in one shot. Ideally I'd like to have a batch file that I can just double click and have it run and do the saves all on its own.

I checked around and found some useful things, but nothing to fully pull off what I'm trying to do. I looked into ZOC, pragma console telnet, but really, I'd like some standard code to run on any platform and not have to use any 3rd party software or proprietary things.

Anybody else have any luck coming up with a working script?

I've written a Perl script that backs up our configurations daily and sends me an email when any lines in the config file change. Perl can sometimes be a 'write-only' language but I'll post it someplace if you guys are interested.

If you just want to backup the saved config file and have FTP enabled you can use the Windows command line ftp client with a -s flag.
