I need help on setting up montitoring on of SQL Server using HP SiteScope monitoring tool.
We have two servers DB01,DB02 and Db03 running SQL 2000 on them. All of these servers are clustered using Windows Clustering. We have virtual servers VS01 VS02 and VS03 for these three physical database servers.
I installed sitescope on one of our server which is in the same domain as the three databse servers. In order to monitor these servers remotely using sitescope I created a serice account with domain administrative previlages and used that account to run sitescope as serice.
I am able to succesfully add CPU, Memory and Harddrives monitors for the database servers.
However when I try to add SQL Server monitor remotely it gives me error " Cannot add counters for the server DB01or DB02 or DB03".
I have checked event logs on the physical database servers but could not find any errors etc. I have also checked Performance Log serice is running on each of those databse servers.
Please help as I have no clue why this is not working. Any help or pointer to right direction will be highly appreciated
