Hi,

Recently i'm tried to setup one master (solaris 9) with 2 client (solaris 2.6 & 8).

On my client, i was having problem to login to the system, except switch user from root.

Jun 1 08:29:29 rsh[10576]: authdes_refresh: keyserv(1m) is unable to encrypt session key

On the master server, i was having below problem,

Jun 1 08:29:29 mk222 passwd[700]: [ID 989686 user.error] NIS+ password information update failed Jun 1 08:29:29 nisplus passwd[701]: [ID 445879 user.alert] Permission denied

While executing nispasswd on master server, i was prompting with permission denied error. Can any expert give me some hints on this? Thanks.

Hi,
I hope it's not too late, but try this:

On the root master do the following commands:
#nisaddcred -p unix.hostname@domain -P hostname.domain.name. des
#nisping -C org_dir
#nisping -C groups_dir
#nisping -C domainname

On the nis+ client machine (machine getting the error) do
#keylogin -r
