hi to all, i'm new in the field of telecoms and no idea how it works, but
my boss ask me to configure the mm711 to g340, can anyone help me please..
thank you..screen shot below..

# show module
SLOT TYPE CODE SUFFIX HW VINTAGE FW VINTAGE
---- -------- ---------- ------ ---------- -----------
v1 -- Not Installed --
v2 Analog MM711 A 46 98
v3 -- Not Installed --
v5 -- Not Installed --
v6 -- Not Installed --
v7 -- Not Installed --
v8 -- Not Installed --
v10 Mainboard G430 A 1 34.5.1(B)

If you can see the module in CM when you do "display media-gateway x" you should be able to add extensions using those ports (Xv2YY).
Otherwise add it to the correct slot in CM.

thank janni..the thing is that..i don't control the CM, companies does...they only ask me to configure this for them to integrate..so i have idea if they already configure it..but in my G430, i see alarm led lit...FYI..this G430 with MM711 will function as remote..

There's not much configuration in the G430 more than insert the card, setup IP/gateway and point it to CM (MGC list). Rest is done in CM.
They need to add the gateway in CM and say if it registers or not. If it's registered they should be able to use the analog ports.

@janni..thanks...how about the alarm...lit red...@g430

You can do "show faults" on the G430 to display alarms.

# show faults

CURRENTLY ACTIVE FAULTS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

-- MGP Faults --
+ Registration failure, 09/12-14:23:09.00
+ H248 registration failure, 09/12-14:22:16.00

Current Alarm Indications, ALM LED is on
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ H248 Link
+ Registration Failed

so this means that need to configure in the CM?

Either they haven't configured the gateway in CM or there is a connectivity issue between the gateway and CM.

Assuming you put the correct CM ip in "set mgc list" and can ping the CM =)

Looks ok, ask them if they added the gateway to CM. They'll need the serial number of the G430.
