I've already added a new profile (which I duplicated from profile 18) and associated a new user (suser with standard shell access) to that profile but when I tried logging-in using that new user account I can only conduct test commands on firmware, same with busyout which was only available for one object.

How would I be able to enable maintenance commands on at least station and trunks for this new user? Is it only limited to profiles 2 and 18? Thanks in advance!

You need to order "MSPs" (Maintainance Service Permisions), contact AVAYA or your Business Partner. AVAYA Maint. and a fee used to be required to get MSPs. On CM5, MSPs can be enabled using RFA, you just check them off on the features screen.

Thanks Mitch for the clarification!

Get a hold of the document entitled "Comparison of Communications Manager Administrator Account Management CM3.1 vs. CM4.0"

It's basically a cheat sheet of how it used to be done on CM3 or earlier compared to cm4 onwards.

It's a cool document.
