It could be something to do with the maximum number of locks as implied in this article (you have to find 2055 in it): hth

thx for reply, but the link require me login password. Can you also give me ?

How strange! Yesterday, I got hold of this quite happily, but today, it's asking me for a password too. I will examine the cache on the machine that I accessed it on and see if I can get the page and post the specific article.

I don't know if your interested but the link I gave you contains exactly what you had in your post in terms of

probe id 10 with error 2055 and alert num 0

Greg

Hi Greg how's it going,
I have a feeling that this error message is a bit of a generic one that requires us to look elsewhere for the error. I'm not certain of this, as I can't find any indication as to what error 2055 means. The probe id seems to differ from one run to the next (I think) and it may be a red herring. If you type 'with error 2055 and alert num' into google you get quite a number of different errors, albeit with a different probeid. Do you think the probeid is the key rather than the (meaningless?) error num?

From the info that Icklee has given us in the dump I think that fffffed3 is an sqlcode, and from my digging, I reckon this is a -301. According to the stuff I found, a -301 is a data mismatch when performing a dynamic sql call. I'm therefore curious to see what Icklee was up to when the error came up.

This is all theory, as the link mentioned in my 1st post that we can no longer get into, suggested that it was a running out of available locks to do with memory.

I'm in the dark, so come on back Icklee, let us know what you were up to.

thx for all your reply.
Let me talk about the background.
I am using AIX DB2 and I have a java application run with the DB2. Now the application is run smooth, however I find that there are many DB2 log message in the AIX syslog. The log is the one I post at my question, I don know why DB2 send the log to syslog and is the log mesg a error mesg....

Is it related to the diaglog level 4 ?
