Help on connecting 3018s

Hi!

At the school there are 3 3018 3Com Routers, and I was wondering how could I connect them to each other, I mean something like what is possible to do with the serial interfaces on other Routers. 3018 Has only Aux and E1/CE1/PRI ports, but at the console terminal, only Ethernet and Aux appear as interfaces.

Is there a way to connect 2 of them with an AUX null-modem or a G.704 db-15 cross-cable?? What the pin-outs would be??

Ok googling a while I think the db-15 cross cable should be:

9 - 8
2 - 15
10 - 7
8 - 9
15 - 2
7 - 10

with such cabel both routers enable E1-0 Controllers so I put on the terminal:

controller e1 0
channel-set 0 timeslot-list 1-24
clock master (Only for one of the routers of course)
clock slave (for the other router only)

And a Serial Interface suddenly appeared, so:

interface serial 0:0
link-protocol ppp
ip address 192.168.250.33 28 (on one router - R1)
ip address 192.168.250.46 28 (on the other router - R2)

And Voilá, the Serial interface is up in both routers!!

So I can ping to 192.168.250.33 from R1 router
And ping to 192.168.250.46 from R2 router

But when I try to ping from R1 (192.168.250.33) to 192.168.250.46 I got no answer, Nor from R2 to R1.

So I check:

display ip rout

And it shows that deliverance should be direct, and shows the correct routes, but I cant get any answer...

I have done similar configs on 2500 and MC3800 Cisco Routers with DCE/DTE cables and I have no problem with that, the only difference is that Cisco provides a link protocol called HDLC.

Is there anything else I should configure to ppp in order to establish comunication between the two 3Com Routers???
