Hi,
I have a ibm xseries 230 with sco. The problem that i have on booting the machine is:
when booting the box, the machine stops to search for boot records at the floppy (first option); when I go on F1 for setup, it seems that I cannot put the hard drive 0 as first option, the only way is to leave as option 3( first option: cd , second option: floppy).
When the machine boots goes to the cycle until is looking for the boot record; then in the screen shows the infamous black screen with the floppy arrowing to the floppy drive and an arrow pointing to F1. I press F1 and the following message comes:
1962 Drive does not contain a valid boot record.

This is true because the floppy is not there. I do not have a floppy for that system.

and, yes, no support also.

If anybody can give me a light on this, it would be great.

thank you guys.

ps I did try on using the f9 and f10 (default settings) with no good, still stops at the floppy.
