Hi everyone,

I programmed using Microsoft technologies throughout college and recently I got a job as a programmer using powerbuilder. I was hoping if you can recommend any books, good tutorials and/or tutorial videos that can help me get up to speed. I will appreciate any input
Best regards

I was fortunate... I had some incredibly smart co-workers (programmers) who tucked me under their wing, and showed me the basics from the get-go. The PB help isn't too bad, this site and Google Groups are your friend though! As for good books, I picked up a "PowerBuilder Unleashed" book, which helped tremendously! It was for version 6 I believe, and we're running both 6.5 and 10.5 at work, and I still reference the book when using 10.5.

Thanks a lot. I guess I will have to buy some books and get to work and learn. I agree I am thankful i found this site.

Do you know what version you will be using? That could help a LOT! I came from a mainly VB.net and Java background, so the PowerBuilder IDE was very odd at first, but once I figured out roughly what was goin' on, it was a MUCH faster learning curve than with the others!
