Hi,

I have seeing UGHD flag appearing from time to time on netstat -rn output. How do these entries come about? I am suspecting this entry is wrecking some routing path in our network.

See attached output.

thanks in advance

HI,

Did you run route daemon? It seems that your box trying to learn the routing table.

regards,
feroz

dbase77,

How can I tell whether the routing daemon is running?

ps -ef | grep routed should tell you.

touch /etc/notrouter should prevent it from starting up. Annihilannic.

"ps -ef|grep routed" shows that in.routed is not running. I touched /etc/notrouter following your recommendation - just to prevent it from starting up.
