I would like to move goldmine 6.0 form an XP Machine to a Standard 2003 Server

Is this possible or should i upgrade to 6.5 or 6.6 which ever is the latest version of Goldmine none SQL version

What do i need to export so that all the info on the xp machine

Contacts
Calender
Users etc

you can if you want transfer the whole directory from the one machine to the other. It would not matter if it was a server or an xp, or 98 machine.

The only file that you would need to alter would be the "ContTlog" to alter the paths of your databases.

I have over 300 db's, so i use access to update the path for me, but it you only have 5 - 10 i would do this by hand.

Then you can have a shortcut on each users desktop directing them to the server, instead of a desktop.

Or you can install goldmine on the server, then transfer file over, you are able to overwrite the existing files, with you old file, save you have to re-create users etc. Then after this, you can upgrade if you want, but if your happy with your version, then I would not mess with something ithat is not broken..

Does this help you? If you want any more info please let me know.
