Hi all, I am encountering this problem and very much needed your help!!

My hard disk is Seagate 120 Gbytes Barracuda 7200.7
Model: ST3120026A

It started clicking and the computer will not detect it (and also freezes up my computer whenever I connect it to the IDE). I did a little research on the net and they call it "Defective Hard Disk Drive Heads" - It says that (When the drive is initially powered up, a logic check ensures that the drive has attained the necessary speed before launching the heads across the platter. If the drive can not attain a 'Ready' state, the logic is repeated for a pre-determined number of times causing a clicking sound, after which it stops trying.Your Seagate hard disk drive now appears dead.)

I really want to retrieve the datas that I have in it but don't know what to do. Please give me some suggestions that I can try! thank you so much!!!
