I'm working with an Access Data Project and SQL Server 2000. The size of the .adp file usually sits at about 4 mb and the .ade file at about 3 mb. I noticed today that the .adp file has grown to nearly 20 mb while there have been no major changes made to the project...what could be the likely cause(s) of this large increase in file size??

Thanks!

I tried that first but it had no effect (kind of like rebooting a workstation when you haven't got a clue why it's acting up!). Although there's no internal db structure stored with an ADP like in an .mdb so I didn't really think that would help...

I did manage to track the increase in file size to a single report. Not sure how or why a report object could cause such a dramatic increase in size?? Any ideas??

Report contains a single embedded .jpg image approx. 350 kb in size. Learned elsewhere that Access doesn't do well with formats other than .bmp, and when I reduced the jpg image resolution from 350 kb down to 35 kb, the ADP file approached the original size (approx. 4 mb).
