I'm having trouble creating this report, I need to show
the percentage by different category for each sales person of the ratio between the number of people spoken to, to the number of sales made in a certain time period.

All the data is in one sales table

Also at the bottom of the report to hold the totals for each category

empno AVN AVU BVN BVU TotalN TotalU
1 5 5 5 5 5 5

Would appreciate any help

Angie

Angie,
We can't see your tables or fields. We have no idea if your table is properly normalized. We also don't have a clue what AVN, AVU, BVN... are.

Do you expect us to understand?

the sales table holds the category field sos which is the AVN and AVU etc, contactdate, solddate and no sold. The N and U on the sos describe wether it is a new or used sos.

What does any of this have to do with "people spoken to"?

Step back and pretend you know nothing about your application and then re-read your postings. Please consider what would make this easier for someone to help you. A few sample records and desired display in your report would be very valuable.
