Hello,
I need to kill users who have been on the system "idle" for over "X" hours. If x=10, then it would be anyone 10 hours or more.

I was hoping for something more elegant than dumping to a file. My problem has been that when I finger I can get idle times of nothing, just minutes, hours;minutes.

I had started with who pau, but it had a problem with giving me terminals, etc. that would all need to be excluded.

Thank you in advance.

The thread offers a command, not an actual solution. Thanks again.

So show the output of whatever command(s) you know about, and highlight (colour/bold/underline) the bits of information which you need / would like to use.
