Hi,

Publisher Prof + 2010

I need to create a template based on some old label sheets that I have and I have no info for them.

Doesn't have to be super precise as I want to make labels for my spice jars.

There are 21 labels per page A4 and the company that produced them was/is PunchLine.

Left and right margins are 1/4" and top and bottom are 1/2"

Horizontal space is 1/8" and there is no vertical space.

Any help would be much appreciated and the guests that I cook for will bless you ;-)

hi,

Why would you need any code in Publisher. I'm not sure of Publisher has a Label feature, but MS Word does.

If you search for LABELS in Publisher HELP, you will see Set up a Publisher publication for a specific manufacturer's page size.

Thanks Skip,

the problem is that PunchLine isn't listed as a manufacturer.

I will check out Word.

I know that in Word, you can CONSTRUCT a label, giving the specifications for each margin, actual label size and gutter sizes.

I would just insert a TABLE with the nominal label size as the column/row dimensions, accounting for the proper margins. Use your label sheet measurements. No big deal!

Furthermore, in Word, you can also use a table (in Word or in Excel) that might contain all you Label contents, and via the Mail Merge feature, load the labels from the table..

Thanks Skip

I eventually did it in Word and am happy with the result.

Just seems odd that it's easier to do in Word than in Publisher.
