Hi Everyone,

Would someone please tell me how I can save aN Illustrator CS file as a .pdf file?

The problem I have is this: Let's say I draw a rectangle 180mm x 25mm in Illustrator CS. Whe I save the file as a .pdf file it alters the dimensions of the rectangle to 170mm x 25mm in the .pdf file. Would someone please advise me on how to correct this problem?

Thanks.

Regards,

Byn

Check the VIEW setting in Acrobat. Make sure it's set to 100%. Then check the size of your work. Very often people set the View to fit the screen, often making things look smaller than they really are.

The Save AS pdf in ILL does not offer scaling that I know of. If your printing a postscript for Acrobat diatiller, make sure that Do Not Scale is checked on the General section of the Print dialog and that you have the proper page size.

Hi jmgalvin,

Thanks for the reply. I checked all the settings as you suggested and discovered that there was a box checked that scaled the image. After correcting this the image printed to the correct scale. The part that confused me was that it printed the correct scale in Illustrator.

Thanks again for your help, it was much appreciated.
