Help needed on throughput testing between 2 VPNs

Hi, wonder if someone could advise me on the following. I have two networks connected by a VPN Tunnel via PIX firewalls over Internet. I need to find out what's the actual data throughput within the tunnels. How do I do that? What sort of software would I need? I suppose this is some sort of a baseline test?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!!
