Help needed for a Newbie

Hi all.

I have just been given a Sharepoint project to manage and develop never having had any experience of or exposure to Sharepoint. I don't know what version it is - or where to find that information.

Can you give me any pointers as to where I can get some (free) online tutorials to get me started? After I have a basic idea of what it does and how, I'll probably be coming back to you for more advice. Hey, that's what TT is for isn't it?
