Help needed DS30A Cant send DTMF when calling out

Overnight install from old Norstar MICS 0x32 to IPO Essential R9. Mostly AVAYA logo'd phones.

I have a 9.0 IPO Essential that has Nortel T7316E phones on it. It seems to work fine except that the phones on the DS30A cannot send DTMF once they place a call to an outside number where they then have to key in an option such as an extension on someone's AA. They also cannot log in locally to their own mailbox as it doesn't "hear" them either.

I had an initial issue with none of the phones having a short code for *DCP and all the button weren't right (they seemed to default). I pasted in the following code. Not sure if this impacts DTMF. Any help appreciated, I got people staring at me!

Try upgrading the module to 3.2.999 first and then to the right release.

A little more info. The *DCP code thing doesn't seem to matter from what I am learning.

The system is 9.0.12 but the DS30A is 9.1 when I look in Manager under Control unit, all components show the R9.0.12 except the DS30A shows 9.1.1200.212 leading me to think it's a higher release than the main control unit.

I was going to try to bring it down to 9.0.12 but it's grayed out when I try to do the upgrade. When I try 3.2.999, all items are grayed out except nadcpv2.bin which I do not believe is for the DS30A. There is a DIG ADPx16RJ45B and a DIG ADPx16 RJ45B BST but as mentioned, those are grayed out and not available to check.

My question is more about what would be stopping me from downgrading/upgrading. I have two PC's one with 9.1 the other with 10.1 both with the bins loaded for either 3.2.999 or 9.0.12 in the bins working directory. No luck.

I think the DS30A is supported from 9.1 and up so you need to upgrade the IPO (requires a license)

Also, doesn't DTMF need turning on on those crappy phones, using a feature code
