I have five locations where one analog telephone is placed at each location...These locations are serving as emergency control rooms..One analog extension is placed at each location.,
Now i want to have only one 4 digit CODE or extension, so that in case of an emergency if a user dials that 4 digit ext or code, the call should go to all the five locations at once and all the people at five locations can attend that ...
i want to tell about my solution which i have made...
i have used group call feature.
1. created a group in LD 18.
2. assigned a 4 digit FFC .
This option is working for me but the problem is , in this option there is no NAME and Number information Display on the phones located at five locations/..i need that the callers information like NAME and DNB must be displayed on the sets placed at five locations..

Any good suggestions please...

OK. I think I understand what you require but I don't see how you will be able to get the callers ID etc on a analogue set?.

You can configure a number of analogue ports to have the same DN. Even an analogue and a digital set can be programmed up with the same DN as long as the analogue set is configured first.

The downside is if the analogue set is in use as the number won't be able to be called again.

Your best solution would be to replace the analogue sets with digital ones that have a display such as a M2616, M3904 etc and have the extension key set as a MCR with the same number.

If someone else calls, then the other 4 remaining phones can still take the call.

Thanks Firebird scrambler...
It is not possible to place digital sets due to far distance..the analog sets are class telephone with CNUA and CNAA options but in group feature the FFC is not allowing CLI facility....if it I get the CLI in this configuration...it will be all OK..But I think it's not possible in group call feature

Three locations are less than 500 meter but two are far more than 2 KMs..we tried to operate digital sets 3902 but they didn't work..

I would have thought that you could provide 3 digital sets for the ones around 500 meters with MCR keys and the other two long distance ones as analogue sets.

I found this old record below and read the last part.

ANALOGUE EXTN LINE LIMITS / DIGITAL LOOP RESISTANCE.

For 500 set:
REN 1/2...........MAX LOOP RESISTANCE......1000 OHMS
REN 3.............MAX LOOP RESISTANCE...... 900 OHMS
REN 4..............MAX LOOP RESISTANCE...... 600 OHMS
REN 5..............MAX LOOP REISTANCE......... 350 OHMS

For 500 set:
ASSUMING YOU ARE USING 0.5MM COPPER CABLE THE
FOLLOWING IS A GUIDE TO THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF
CABLE TO BE USED:-

REN 1/2..............11.4 KILOMETRES

REN 3.................10.25 KILOMETRES

REN 4.................6.8 KILOMETRES

REN 5.................4 KILOMETRES

PLEASE NOTE :: THESE FIGURES ARE FOR THE LINE LOOP
SO FOR EXAMPLE,AN EXTN WITH A REN OF 5 SHOULD NOT
BE FITTED MORE THAN 2 KILOMETRES FROM THE EQUIPMENT.

R = p.l/a

where R = resistance
p = resistivity ( copper is 17.2 x 10 to the power -9 )
l = length in metres
a = cross sectional area of the conducter ( metre sq )

For Aries type set:
Digital set loop resistance must be below 175 ohms. (approx 3000 ft)

It might be worthwhile trying an older Aries set.

Here is one more record found on this topic

THE PXML 81 GIVES THE FOLLOWING VALUES:
