Help needed, Citrix newbie needs to add XPe Servers to existing Farm.

Hi,

It's been ages since I've played around with Citrix and I'm having some real headaches with adding a few Servers to an existing Farm.

When I point the new install to the Data store and authenticate the installation continues and then I get an error.

I might be being really dumb but do servers join the Farm via the Data store? As I saw no way to add Servers via the CMC.

Any help greatly appreiciated!

Yes they join the farm when you config the data store bit during install.

We will need some more info.

The bad news is the DBA and Security guys have lost the password for the account used to administer the Data Store.

What effect would it have if the password used to access the Datastore was changed?

your File DSN connection would no longer be valid, you would have to create a new one.

I'm getting another account created that has the same rights to the Domain and the Datastore and leaving the original account alone.

Once I've done this will the XPe setup complete ok once it has access to the Datastore?
