Hello

We have SQL 2005 and have two databases (running are accounting) same program and data structure just in different databases for different companies. Our pricing is the same for both companies and takes 2 days to update. I would like to copy 6 tables from one database to another - Can this be done, and how? We use to use pervasive and this was easy then, we just had to copy the files from one directory to another.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

From SQL Server Management Studio, Open the database you wish to copy the tables/data to. Right click on the database and select tasks -> Import. This will open a wizard that will walk you through copying the data.

Are they on the same server? If so, export/import as Paul suggests will work. So will doing an INSERT INTO using a SELECT statement.

For different servers, you need to link them before you can copy the data over.
