Hello all. I have an application that I need to convert from Paradox 4.5 to Access 2000. I have a bunch of files and I am just trying to get the application running. I am clicking on a shortcut which I modified as well as a start BAT file. It just does nothing comes up and closes. I think I have to modify the PIF file I think. Where do I get the PIF editor? I am using Win 2K very stuck. Thanks

handey,

Try using Explorer to navigate to the directory containing your Paradox/DOS PIF file. Next, right-click it and then choose Properties. The Program tab contains the various settings used to start the program.

Make sure you're starting it with the following command-line options:

Code:
   -extk 16000 -share

This limits Paradox/DOS to a maximium of 16 MB of RAM and tells it to use sharing protocols under Windows.

Hope this helps...
