I designed my new site with front page 98 and it looks great in internet explorer but i tried it in netscape and it is horribly wrong. i have the "page options" set on both browsers at 4.0 or lower and servers at custom. what is wrong? i have noticed that when i used "position" on something in front page it doesn't go where it is supposed to in netscape. please help me i'm desperate to get the site up.
thanks in advance!

This is something I just got in a tip through email. Apparently, Netscape doesn't recognize the additional code Front Page adds in for positioning. Try editing the positioning code, changing it to <center></center> or whatever applies for your page alignment (Front Page adds some extra stuff into the tag; Netscape may be having problems with it).

If you're working with tables, that could be the problem as well. However, it's easy to fix. Create a small graphic to match your background color. It just needs to be a rectangle. Then insert an additional row in your table. Insert the graphic into the column that's causing the problems. Make any changes to the height and width properties. This will force the column not to readjust itself in different browsers.

Linda Adams
Garridon@aol.com
<a href= Adams Online
I'm a professional writer, published internationally.

The way I have got around this problem is by using Netscape Composer (comes with Netscape Comminucator). Once I have designed a page in FPage it will look awful in Netscape Navigator (if it shows up at all!). Opening it in Composer re-aligns everything instantly - save the page and you end up with a page which looks good in both IE and NNav.
