Hi Everybody,

Here's my enigma

I have the footage of a horse moving in front of a black background. Hoevwe there is some black in the horse too.

How could I remove that background ???

I am desperate, if someone could help me that would be appreciated.

Thanks !!!

Hmm...I'm not really a pro at After Effects, but is there any kind of Magic Wand option? If so, you could use that to select the black on the horse and delete it....sorry I can't be much help...

The "Magic Wand" is called KEYING. There are several different ways to select the color, and drop out the black.

COLOR RANGE may be a good one to start with. Of course, if you have AE PRO, you'll want to use KEYLIGHT, which comes with the software for free.

Try to use a TRANSFER MODE (aka blend mode), using SCREEN mode. This will drop out all of the black and dark areas, leaving only the lighter color pixels

you could also just key the black and as yuo say there is some black in the horse just use a travlelling matte over the black in the horse and bring back its missing parts...
