I'm putting together an old computer to give linux a try and I have all the components that I need etc. When I have hooked everything up and turn on the computer there is nothing on the screen.
Instead I get a beep code(1 long) which means that my motherboard isn't configured right. I think my jumpers are set wrong but I NEED to know the manufacturer of the motherboard.
That is where I need your help!
The chipset is an Intel 430HX (aka Triton II)
There are 2 different numbers on the board:
96-00033(off by itself) and 553 VER 1.1(near ISA)
On the board is 4 PCI and 4 ISA slots.
It is a socket 7 CPU.
Award BIOS PCI/PNP 586 (s/n 029259297)
That's pretty much it. Please help if you can! I need to know the ID of the board! If you need any additional info or can point my in the right direction just let me know!
thanks!
Betsy
