Hi,

I have DSL and when too many users connect to SSL sites such as banks the router stops communicating and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to reset it. It loses its connection about 30 times a day.

Would these SSL connections be considered VPN connections?

There is an option on the router to turn on VPN connections but my understanding is we would turn it on if we were running a VPN server ourselves and people were trying to connect to us, not we connecting to them.

Thanks, A

There have been many brands of routers that have issued firmware upgrades to resolve SSL connection issues. Try a firmware upgrade.

SSL has nothing to do with VPN.

I've got the latest firmware upgrade for this router. It's an actiontec 1524.
