I posted this yesterday. Still need help, now I am desperate! I am working on a project where in MS Excel, I am paste-linking start/finish dates from MS Project 98 files. I want Excel to just look in the current directory (where the Excel spreadsheet resides) for the MS Project file being referenced in the link. This way, when I give the spreadsheet, Project files to the customer, as long as they have them all in the same directory, the links will update properly. Is this possible? Is there a way to type in the filename for the link so that it will just look in the current directory for that filename and find the cell it's linked to??? Any help/input would be much appreciated! I'm on a deadline and REALLY NEED HELP!! THANK YOU!!!!

Stefan, here's what I did.
Highlight the cell you want linked, press CTRL+K. When the screen comes up, click on browse on the "Link to file or URL" option at the very top and select the file you want linked. I hope to have helped you. QUOTE OF THE DAY

Yes, I have done that. Thank you! My question though is if we move all of the files to a new location, the link in the excel cell does not find the new location of the Project file and returns "NAME#!". How can I tell Excel to just look in the current directory (where the Excel file resides) for the file(s) it is linked to? Is there a way?

Since not all user will move their files to C:\mydocuments.
Create or write specific instructions to save all documents to a specific directory first.
For example:
I create links to my D:\Forms and create all my links first
Then I instruct my users to create a folder on they D:\ named Forms. That's how I get my forms to work.
