Greetings,

I'm running the SXDE 1/08 snv_79b X86 release of Solaris and the amd64 bit kernel is suddenly failing to load, instead I get the message:

krtld: bind_primary() : no relocation information found for module /platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix
krtld: error during initial load/link phase
krtld could neither locate nor resolve symbols for :
/platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix
in the boot archive. Please verify that this file matches what is found inthe boot archive.
You may need to boot using the solaris failsafe to fix this.
Unable to boot.
Press any key to reboot.

The menu.lst boot parameters are:

kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix
module$ /platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive

where $ISADIR = amd64

I can boot into 32 bit okay still but will need to get 64 bit working again.

Can someone please advise me on what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks :)
John

The problem seems to have fixed itself ! ?
Very puzzling...

The problem has occurred again.

Does anyone have any ideas?
