Running Windows XP, and have a cable modem that connects via usb. Had no problems for months, and now, I am getting a message saying "no connection to the internet is currently available". The cable modem is on, and I have a connection to the ISP - (have a icon below showing active connecton) However, IE is not using this connection. Nothing has been changed, IE has basically decided not to use the connection, and no matter what I do, I cannot get it to connect using this connection. I also have MSN messenger, but again, this will not connect either. In dialup settings, I have set it not to dial a internet connection, and have no proxy settings etc enabled.

Any Ideas????

I just called Comcast about another connection problem with XP. They told me that they have had problems with XP and the USB. Try connecting through the Ethernet card, it is faster.
