Please help. I am a Linux newbie. I have never installed Linux before. I am trying to install SUSE on a 300GL model IBM PC. The pc was given to my agency. There is no OS at all. Once I put the SUSE CD that I downloaded and burned in the computer, the CD is to auto-starting. I several of these same machines. For what ever the reason the Linux SUSE CD will not AutoStart. Is that a bootable Linux floppy needed. Please Advise!!!!!!!!!!

First, will your CD readers autoboot from any disk? If yes, did you burn the SuSE files as an ISO, or did you just burn them to a blank disk? You will need the disk rendered from an iso.

Thanks for the response. I burned the CD as a bootable CD(ISO).
