Hello,

I used to connect my palm and camcorder to my laptop through the serial port. They use to work fine.

I installed Logictech serial mouse driver and the above two stopped working.

Uninstalling Logitech driver did not help.

How do I get the two working?

Have you been to Logitech's site to see if you can find anything there? They are the most likely to have realized that uninstalling their product causes this, so you might find info or a fix or something there.

Otherwise, I don't think I can be of any more help.

Good Luck,
G

Another thing you may want to try is to re-install any service packs that were previously installed. If you install some devices they may replace your serials.vxd or another dll with an older and incompatible file for your devices. I reccomend installing service pack 6a for your win NT laptop and see if it corrects the issue.

Good Luck,

Good point! I do this every day, but keep forgetting to suggest it. Shilsum, you should also re-create your Repair Disk after applying that SP6a. I learned from experience that you can't easily repair an NT4 SP6a installation from a repair disk made with SP4 or 5.

Just click on "Run" and then type in "rdisk /s" and hit enter.

Hope these things help.
