hello, I work for an accounting firm, we use several different types of book keeping software, and I was wondering if there was some way to install these third party apps using the microsoft installer or some other installer so that the end user does not have to do anything but start the program without answering any questions, I am trying to support about 60 people and if i could make installing and updating a little easier for them this would make it easier for me....thanks for any help

Search Tucows or even Google for Windows Installer.

There are several firms that make installer software, but I do not know how they work (never did that myself).

Hope this helps a bit,

Pascal.

If this is software you have developed yourself then take a look at QSetup They have a free version which is very good and the full version is not too expensive. The Software is very userfriendly and you can customise all of the installaion options.

If this is software that you have purchased from another company then the only option I know of would be to create a Wrapper Installation application. This would know the expected responses from the user and complete them at the relevant time. This article might give you some ideas
