HELP!! - Index will not set out as columns 1

I'm currently re-indexing a 82 page catalogue. In the past the index has been set out over 2 A5 pages with 4 columns on each page.

I wanted to re-index the catalogue because there were many old and missed out entries.

I removed all the entries and tried re-entring them by going through the catalogue. But i noticed that the index was not Autoflowing into columns. It was all in one long column. I've tried setting out the Column Guides and putting on the Autoflow - to no avail.

Can you give me any pointers on this problem?!?

Have you tried flowing the text through the columns manually?
