Hello People,
I am new to this forum, I have just completed my masters degree in computer networking in which one of the main subjects was configuring cisco network and designing one as well. However I am very much interested in VOIP technology and I see nortel is one of the leading providers of this technology. I am currently working in a semi technical field for BT broadband technical helpdesk. Can anyone please guide me through the best path to take if I were to choose to be a nortel support specialist which i feel has a good scope when i run a job search in most job search websites, Please help, comments . advice welcome

many thanks
Godwin

From my perspective mostly working on small to medium sized systems I would recommend looking at the BCM forum on Tek-Tips as the BCM is VOIP compatible. I have an i2002 IP phone off our office BCM-200 and it works well. Norstar systems can be tied together via IP gateways, and can be extended via broadband connections, but are not VOIP ready. Hope this helps and good luck!
