help in bidirectional bus

hi,

i've been thinking of how to implement a bidirectional bus. for so long i can't figure out how to correctly implement the code.

what happens is that i can read data outside the entity but there is bus contention whenever i send data out of the device. i have no problems in sending data, but i have problems getting data.

how do i use an inout as a bidirectional port CORRECTLY???
