Earlier this evening I accepted a file that was supposedly sent by an MSN buddy of mine.

Anyway, ever since, my Laptop has been doing wierd things. Whenever I attempt to send an instant message to any of my buddies, It attempts to send files to several of my buddies. These have names such as "She Could Fit her Ass in a Teacup", "Beautiful Ass". When I search my hard disk, all these files have suddenly appeared on my hard disk - they all appear to be MSDos Files. I googled one of the files and it appears that it is connected with the BROBIA Virus. I tried deleting these files from my hard disk but they just reappeared. Ive downloaded a brobia removal tool from the symantec website but when I run it, it says that my computer is not infected.

Does anyone have any suggestions??? Any help greatfully appreciated!!

Did you run the removal tool in safemode?

Smah has posted a faq with several online scans.
Try one or two of them as an alternative to Symantec.

It's 10 O'Clock ( somewhere! ).
Are your registry and data backed up?

Or, you could download AVG ( and see if it picks up anything. It's a free Anti-Virus solution. You probably got infected with a new virus that is running through Messenger.

And Bill Castner's FAQ as well

Both contain links to some online scanners as well as several programs to use in conjunction with clearing out system issues.
