I have a definity G3r V11. I have a C-LAN card and I'm going to use it for ASA. I know the protocal is TCP/IP but that is too vague for my IT people. TCP/IP is to broad. Is there something more specific? What kind of TCP/IP? Is Telnet the only way for ASA? Which is the best? What is ACL? How do we apply that to our routers? Is SAT service the same as Site Admin Terminal? Your input is greatly appreciated. What are my options? Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ACL is an acronym for Access Control List--I mapping of what IP addresses/ports can talk to what other IP addresses/ports through the router/firewall.
If your network people are very security concious, you'll need to tell them the IP address of the machine(s) you want to be able to connect from, along with the IP address of the C-Lan card, and tell them that you need port 5111 opened (That's the default for the SAT service).
ASA administration over IP is so much faster than a data module--It makes things almost fun!
