I have set up an incoming hunt group that will ring some office phones. When i press my toggle hunt button to night i cant get it to go to my ATT. I tried setting up another night hunt group and put my night fallback to this group but i am having trouble linking this to my AA. When i just put my incoming DID to ATT it goes right into the Auto attendant like it should, but i need to control this by the button.

I gotta have this figured out tonight, thanks in advance.

Dan

you have to create a leave point for the night fallback group and send that to the AA, so if your regular group is the AA then create a leave point and put a leave mail action for the original group in there

What my problem seems to be is creating this fallback group that is associated with the AA. I can point the DID to ATT, that works. So I know i can point to the ATT and the AA will answer. I try to put ATT in the fallback night group and it wont take it.

do you go via shortcode to the AA or via huntgroup voicemail coverage ?

the only time i have been successful in going to the AA is when i put it as the destination of the DID. I have tried several ways to get my night group to go the this ATT, which is the AA.

sorry I should have asked that before do you have VM Pro or embedded

Using VM pro. found out that the short code for the attendant is ATT. That is how i am able to get my DID to route straight to it. this will work for now, as i am returning to site in the AM and will change the incoming DID from ATT to 400, which is my day hunt group.

Hi,
I am still having problems linking the ATT to my hunt group that i created for night. it wants me to put an ext in the group. Any idea's

is voicemail turned on for the huntgroup?

No. is that my problem??. I thought if it was it would look for that particular hunt group # vm

yes thats what happens when i turn vm on for that hunt group it just wants to go to that hunt groups vm not to the attendant.

Did you put the attendant in the leave action for that huntgroup ?

Where do you mean. In the night fallback, if that is where you mean it wont take ATT there.

i"m working with V3 here. I have tried to put ATT, which is the short code for the attendant in the extension list of a new hunt group i called night. When i dial this hunt group, ext 500. it give me a busy sig.

In VMPRo you have the group
At that group you have leave, get, queue and stil queue
Go to the leave start point and put in the AA
Then when you go to voicemail then you go to the AA

Have yo read any of the documentation? You need to either put the attendant in the fallback groups leave action as Peter says or create a shortcode to point to the attendant. Put a user in your overflow group that forwards to your shortcode and your done.

Thats where i am going round and round here. The short code for the AA is ATT. I have created a user 399 in here i cannot get this user to fwd to ATT. it will not take the ATT in the forward # under forward unconditionally

aybe i did not read well but why do you use an overflow group anyway ?

Just set the voicemail timer high
Then when you set it into night service it will go to voicemail anyway

i appologize guys but this is kickin my butt.

This is what i have. i need to set a night button on the console. I have the night group hunt button on the console that changes the state of service, day to night. that works. because i created another hunt grp called night. From my main hunt group i put the night fallback to this night group, in this night group i put a real ext in the ext list. when i push the night button the calls go then to that ext. Whats killin me here is how to get them to go to the AA. no place does it give me a location to enter my short code ATT or *80. Something real stupid and obvious i am missing.
