It used to be that when I visited a webpage that generated javascript errors, I'd see ONE error alert box.

But with this new computer company supplied me with, I get repeated error messages asking me if I wish to debug (y/n), and if I select yes, it pulls up "microsoft development environment 6.0" instead of showing a simple error explanation like it used to show.

Any ideas how to turn off the annoying debug prompting?

thanks!

that u can do only in the browser settings. but the extreme step of disabling javascript itself must be done...

I figured it out... in IE menu under tools->internet options, advanced tab, check disable script debugging, & uncheck "display notification for every script error"

but then this will be applicable only in that browser...
