I will like to know how to remove a Hard Drive Pasword Lock, as you turn the Computer on it goes straight to Display DRIVE PASSWORD--------
THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE.

Howdy:

Its known as a BIOS boot password and who put it on??

Or you may find it as a theft deterrent. Depends on the machine manufacturer. If that is what you are facing, you end up trying to convince the manufacturer that it really is your machine and they give you a password that works long enough to get your own back on it.

Give the wrong symptoms, get the wrong solutions.

google on something like removing passwords for your brand of drive. You'll find stuff on both bios/supervisor passwords and drive passwords. The drive passwords are pretty hard and in some cases like ibm, you probably wont get the drive back unless you pay ibm or a data recovery service.

Hug your mother.
Backup your registry and data.
