Can someone help me out and tell me step-by-step how to un-spool my spooled credit cards so that they will automatically begin processing through on my Aloha EDC?

I am running the latest version of Aloha.

close EDC
open the services.msc
restart EDCsrvclose services windows
open EDC
From windows Explorer find the spooled files on the foh terminal. They are usually on your master. look in edc folder
\\term1\bootdrv\aloha\edc
You will see a bunch of ########.spl files plus a file called spooling
Delete the spooling file
move all the rest of the files to the boh computer
\\alohaboh\bootdrv\aloha\edc
then open a command prompt
Run cmd
change directories until you are in the drive of aloha\edc (place where you copied the spl files
cdcd Drive letter where aloha is then enter
cd bootdrv\aloha\edc enter
dir enter
if you see all the *.spl files you are in the right place
type rename *.spl *.req

Below is what I would type at the command prompt
For my example ALoha is on the E drive
cdcd e:
cd bootdrv\aloha\edc
dir
rename *.spl *.req
exit
This will then send all the cards processed offline to now be done online

One thing to be careful of. Only move spooled files from the day you were off line. It is not uncommon for people to have leftover *.spl files from previous times. When you are done, go through the rest of your FOH terms and check for any other *.spl files not dated yesterday and delete them. Last thing you want is an angry customer calling about why you re billed them months later for the same meal

Check and see what username your terminals are logging in as.

set the EDCSvr services to logon as the same user ie. term, aloha, alohasvr, svcacct with the password.

stop and restart edc services and it should automatically grab the spool files from any of the terminals.
