i am making a reports consisting of charts which are running from queries in the same database, but when i am in design view its not representing the data it should, its as if its showing a sample, but when i print preview it shows my reports as it should be, but i cant get rid of the ANNOYING preview chart!

how do i overcome this horrible MS problem?? :(

That's a feature of it working exactly that way it should.

If you think about it

- in design view - there is no way for the Report to know what the 'real' data is - because it has not run the queries/ looked at tables/ consulted the recordsets / etc..

- So instead, so that you can get a hint of what you should expect - it shows the dummy data. - It is doing it's best with the limited information that you have given it.

- if you want to see more - run the code and PREVIEW the report.
