Hey guys, leme start off by saying i know NOTHING about Progress. i have been shoehorned into this since our main programmer quit.

Here is the deal.

We have a customer Table that has records relating to Customer Number, and Price Level

this table is WAY wrong, we have customers in the wrong levels.

so i have written a query against our old system and pulled out The customer number and the correct level. I then exported it to Excel and created a Comma Delimited file.

Now how do i get this file into Progress?

please help hehe

thanks In Advance

what version of progress?
what os?

generally, the data dictionary has the ability to load data thru ADMIN->Import Data ->Delimited text

but
you are going to have to clear/edit the table first (backups would be a good idea) if there is a unique key on any of the table's indexes.

I dont seem to have the Import Data field available to me. I wouldnt be surprised if we dont have all of the options on this system. My thoughts were to write a procedure to do it. Sicne our Data Administration stuff is very limited

Oh were running on NT 4.0 progress 8.3c
