Help Hard drive is now partioned with one partion being RAW format

i seem to have gotton a virus that has now partioned my drive. it's a maxtor 200 gig drive that is now partioned 125 x 75 gig. the smaller partion i can access and save info on, but the large partion will not except files of any kind. I tried partion magic and disk mgt on xp to format, remove ect the drive to no luck. even went in to system prompt and tried the old way. no luck.

any ideas?

As this appears to be your second drive, use the maxtor utility to reset this drive.

Wipe drive, write "0"'s to the full drive set the partitioning as you desire and don't for get to check that it is formatted.

forgot to mention that I didn't want to do a low level format. If I can format this partion some way, i can use getdataback to get the information off the drive

getdataback worked except that all my mp3s are still gone. got back most all my pictures, mail, doc ect.
very happy to get back what I go, about 98% of my files

How much more do you intend on getting back??

Time to clean this drive up and do a complete diag before placing filesback on it.
