All,

I'm having trouble getting MATWorX32 (v11.5.2) to connect to my NEAX 1000 IVS. This is my first time using MATWorX. I use the same PC to regularly connect to our AD8 VM. It is a generic 56K PCI modem.

I am using a modem dial string with pauses (and have the modem speaker turned on), so I am making it successfully through the auto-attendant and to the modem Ext. I can hear the modems shake hands and then connect (and the speaker goes off). I DO get a “Connected at 19200” message. After that, the connecting box just sits there for about half a minute and then closes and another window pops up and says “Can’t connect to PBX.”

The MATWorX manual says to force the connection to 2400 for an IVS 2000, but I don't see anywhere to change the baud in Matworx. I tried to do it via S registers in the init string, but it still connects @19200. Maybe I need a better init string?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

WORX32 is not meant to work on the IVS product line, it can be used on the IVS2 and IPS systems.

The IVS default baud rate is 1200. MatWorX will not connect to a speed that slow. Try changing the baud rate to 9600. CMD 4008 de 1 de 4 exe. You will not be able to use any of the GUI screens, but you may be able to use the MOC mode (command line) to program.

It would be just as easy to use hyperterminal. See the FAQs for key definitions.
