I'm trying to help a friend who lives in a different state configure NIS 2002. I've only briefly seen the product in person.
I've sent instructions to run Program Scan and to send me a list of everything that comes up. Well, there were over 100 entries and my friend declined/didn't know how to cut and paste all of that.
They took the defaults and cannot reach their DSL (starband). They then lowered the default settings to middle or low and still have to disable NIS in order to surf.
The system is new with XP and Small Business Office so there aren't years worth of programs loaded.
Do any of you have a list or know of a list of things that NIS will find and suggested settings that I can forward?
