Hi guys I posted a thread a few days ago, but with no success, maybe because my english is not good. Let me try again.
I have a network (192.168.0.x/255.255.255)with windows xp pro on all the workstations. This network is behind a router Speed Touch 510i (192.168.0.254), who gives access to internet to the network.
In one of the workstations I config a VPN server.
The router have the 1723 port open, the protocol 47 enabled and is pptp forward.
On a remote machine I config a VPN client.
Now, I can establish the connection with the router of the network, that means VPN is succesfully established and I can ping the router (192.168.0.254) but I can't do anything else, that means I can't ping or access the VPN server.
My question is, what I'm doing wrong? Why I can't see the computer that is behind the router?
Thaks in advance for your help guys.

Regards

Hi DougP

you can ping the router that hides the vpn server? And can´t ping the server?

Is that what happens to you?

Maybe someone can help us solve this problem. I don't know what to do.

=(

here is what we have to do
Instead of using the name of the server we have to use the IP address of the Server like 192.168.1.10
Click Start then Search then "Search for Printers, Computers or People"
key in the IP
then double click it when it shows and map drives or whatever

I have not tried this as of yet I just got it from our vendor who can get in. I'll try it tonight at home.
I have not tied to ping either I'll do both tonight.

I already try that witn no success.

I ping the router............OK
I go to search computers and.......... nothing happens

might seem like a lot of work..
....configure ethereal on anyone of those window boxes and see what is going on..

..the output reads like a story book..
..look at request, aknowledments..etc;

..just throwing ideas around...
